Road Trip

This Summer has been going by way too quickly.
Comic Con is this weekend, and yes, my lovies, I did already attend.... costumed and all (as a part of the Sindar). Plenty of you would probably assume that Comic Con is a convention focused on grabbing the attention of World of Warcraft players, anime fanatics, and die hard Twilight fans (some of which have been waiting in line for the Twilight panel for 4 days now)... Well, more often than not, it pretty much is. Guess which one of those three categories that I fall under?

Sure Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are not hard on the eyes, but no... Twilight has gone completely mainstream after Eclipse and Breaking Dawn (the books) were published and any interest in the saga was faltered after Edward sparkled in the sunlight. Out of the two... Any guesses? No? Alright,I know this is a shock to you all, but no... I do not play online games. So the culprit? I am a bit of an anime nerd... and to be quite honest; phrases like: "baka, arigatou, and kawaii" are almost common to me (haha).

Now the main topic of this post: My San Francisco road trip is tomorrow (7/22/11)! Which has been most anticipated and talked about event of my whole Summer. I will be posting while in San Francisco to keep this little diary updated.
And if you have noticed already, my blogs name is Heel The Masses... "Heel" as in high-heeled shoes; this blog is essentially supposed to be focused on fashion and art. I will be posting my day-to-day outfits; opinions on trends, models, designers; etc.
And to conclude my post: écrira bientôt!

Summer Trip III

After finally hitting the first noteworthy milestone in my life, my high-school graduation, I decided that commencing a Summer 2011 "bucket list"(if you will) was completely necessary. As a graduation present, a friend of mine took me to Disneyland. It was rather nostalgic to say the least. 6 Flags, Magic Mountain my second adventure; it was hot and humid, definitely not a pleasant combination. The stirling silver jewelry on my fingers (and toe!) were completely unmovable because of the swollenness caused by the sun. Despite all of that, it was a lovely day spent with people that I love.
Onto my most recent trip... My best friend's family and I traveled up north to San Marino for the stunning Huntington. Their amazing Library, Art Collections, and beautiful botanical gardens are to die for. We spend a good 4 hours walking through all of the attractions. The art collection was so diverse, and so beautiful. From the 17th century marble sculptures (which had such impeccable detail of the time) to the modern pop art of Andy Warhol. The museum also carried original sketches from philosophers like Aristotle to Isaac Newton. Amazing! All in all, the trip was fantastic and I plan on going their again.
